Puccini's Ghost- SENGA

I just learned today from a friend in Canada that there is a novel written by Morag Joss, called "Puccini's Ghost" and there is a character named Senga in it. Interesting huh? You don't hear my name very often. Although one girl, who I met through massage therapy, and who also was scottish heritage told me that her sister's name was Senga too. Anyway, thought I'd share that with you all. I have NO idea what that book is about or anything, hopefully uplifting and positive, if not, you never heard about it from me. :-)

Our cute little Lucy girl

I took this picture of Lucy today on my cell phone camera and I thought, "I need to share this one on our blog, because she's so darn cute. Lucy frequently lays like this-to get our attention. Funny how she lays in the fetal position and all. Way cute.

Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball

This video is a short clip of a single play made by Tennessee women's basketball player, Candice Parker. She is 6'5 and a junior and is one of a only a few women in college basketball who has DUNKED a basketball during a game. This game was a few weeks ago against South Carolina gamecocks, who is in the same conference as them. Tennessee won very easily but it's so awesome to see a great team with the best coach in the NCAA men or womens teams. And it's just so cool for me to see, having played high school and junior college ball. Wish I could still play but it's fun to see teams like this. Love this sport!

What a voice! I loved Karen Carpenter then and still love her now- 25 years ago (February 4th) after she's passed away. She was one in a billion voices to me. RIP Karen.

Joni and I Snowshoeing in Colorado

Snowshoeing in Colorado. We loved every minute of it.

Maile's night with Aunt Senga

This is my niece, Maile, she was inconsolable when I was in Utah babysitting her last month when her Mom and Dad desperately needed a night out on the town. She had a little separation anxiety and was never so sure about me while I was there. I think it's funny though and I will love showing her one day (when she's older) how much she missed her mom. It's just those terrible two's, especially if they haven't seen you very much. I sure love her though.

Look who Joni and I met in Denver this week?

That's right- Charles Barkley, who played in the NBA around the same time as Karl Malone. He played for Philadelphia 76ers and was on the same dream team of the olympic basketball team as Malone and Stockton.

Joni and I and her co-worker were checking in our luggage at curbide checkin when a limo pulled up and out came Charles and a woman. I didn't see him first, I just heard his voice. He has a distinct voice. So anyway, I looked at him and noticed him right away and whispered to Joni who it was. When we were done checking our bags, I walked right up to him, extended my hand and said, "Hello Charles." He shook my hand and Joni's and was very sweet and cordial. I was star struck to see him but it was fun to run into him. He was awesome in the NBA during that time.
